This Web site is designed to assist the Michigan Agricultural Experiment Station (MAES) and MSU Extension (MSUE) personnel in fully participating in the 2005-06 process to identify and prioritize issues and opportunities for education and research. These pages contain tools, resources and links for Area of Expertise (AoE) teams, MSU faculty and staff members, county MSUE staff members and Field Station managers.

MSUE and MAES periodically review the direction for research and educational programming. The current process for reviewing priorities and identifying future issues and opportunities, convened in the fall 2005, is framed to ensure that relevant, research-based educational programming is available to address local issues. This information will also be used to guide state-level decisions for research priorities and program support. Our federal partner, USDA, requires that MSUE and MAES submit strategic goals and objectives in a federal plan of work that is grounded in a public input process.
